To Test Luck In Bollywood

Gautham Menon is one of the finest director in Kollywood. He makes the movie in a different style and also maintains high technical values. His previous movies like Vaaranam Aayiram (2008) and Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu have Hollywood range camera work.

Kaaka Kaaka was the Kollywood movie which made him South India wide famous. Now this movie attracting the Bollywood heroes like Ajay Devgan, Salman Khan and John Abraham. Its cop story with different narration and never screen screenplay.

Gautham Menon also very keen to make this movie in Bollywood with few changes in the script. If every thing goes well, Gautham will entertain the Bollywood people with this thriller.

Murugadoss

Ghajini which created new records in Bollywood was directed by Murugadoss. This Tamil thambi (mean brother) always thinks of giving never seen before subjects. He has lot of thirst about movies since childhood. He has played dramas and mimicry shows in school days.

After his graduation he entered into the film industry as an assistant writer for Kalaimani. Later he joined with S.J.Surya as an assistant director for the movies Ajit’s Vaali and Vijay‘s Khushi.

He made his debut as a director with the Tamil movie Dheena. Ajit starred in it. Dheena is a block buster in Tamil but he failed to achieve identification.

Than he directed another Tamil star Vijay Kanth for the movie Ramana. It is an ordinary hit in Tamil but attracted Telugu legendary hero Chiranjeevi. He called Murugadoss to direct the movie. But at that time he was busy with the Tamil Ghajini script work. So he just provided a script and promised Chiranjeevi he will come back with a good script to direct him.

Tagore, a Telugu version of his Ramana movie blasted all Telugu industry records and successfully completed 100 days in 192 centers in A.P only. In 2005 he released Tamil Ghajini. Surya, Asin and Nayanatara starred in that movie. This movie gave a super star image in Tamil. Dubbed versions of this movie in Telugu and Malayalam also attracted people and gave good market for Surya’s other movies in those states.

In 2006 he directed the Telugu movie Stalin. Chiranjeevi starred in that movie as a soldier. This movie story line was about helping three people and asking them to help another three. This movie started with negative talk but stayed in 420 theatres for 50 days with houseful collections.

In 2008 he made his Bollywood entry with Hindi Ghajini. Aamir Khan starred in that movie. Producer Allu Aravind bagged 90 crores at the time of announcement only for this movie and 200 crores as first two weeks collections.

At present he is planing a movie with Surya Sivakumar again.

Tarun Mansukhani

Tarun Mansukhani came to people notice with the block buster hit Dostana. He was assistant director for Karan Johar for his block buster hits Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna. He has proved him self with a serial, which promoted national elections.

Later he has directed an ad film also for Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. Unlike his guru Karan Johar, he took comedy concept for his debut. Dostana was sure a land mark for new generation movies. Movie features like a Hollywood comedy film.

Takings and camera quality he has maintained for this film is really appreciable. Present he is working for Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’s animation version Koochie Koochie Hota Hain.

Mansoor Khan

Mansoor Khan is the cousin to super star Aamir Khan. Mansoor Khan has entered into Bollywood as director with the movie Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988) which was runway hit and  gave stardom to Aamir Khan and life to Juhi Chawla, Udit Narayan.

After Qayamt Se Qayamat Tak he has directed the movie Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar (1992), which became a huge hit and introduced new back drops to Bollywood. Three years later he has directed the movie Akele Hum Akele Tum which failed to live up to the range of like his previous movies.

In 2000, he has directed the movie Shahrukh Khan’s Josh which was also an average grosser. He has taken 10 years long gap after Josh. Now he is planning to make the movies with Imran Khan and Aamir Khan. Present he and Aamir are working on the script to remake version of Bollywood classic movie Yaadon Ki Baaraat (1973)

In Malayalam After 5 Years

Priyadarshan has started his career with Malayalam films. Later he has directed films in all languages of South India. Later entered into Bollywood. He delivered many super duper hits here like Hera Pheri, Garam Masala and Bhagam Bhag.

Now he settled in Bollywood only. In very rare cases he is concentrating on south Indian movies. Last year he has directed the national award winner Kanchivaram. From last 5 years he hasn’t made any movie in Malayalam.

Recently he has expressed his desire to make a movie in Malayalam. now the time came, he is going to start a movie with Mohanlal. On the other hand he is busy with Akshay Kumar’s Khatta Meetha.

Abhishek Kapoor

Abhishek Kapoor is a Bollywood director. He entered into Bollywood to become a good actor. But he went to unnoticed after three flop movies. Then he took six years gap and made his debut as director. Aryan was his first movie as director. Aryan is about a struggling boxer’s life. Sohail Khan and Sneha Ullal paired opposite each other in this movie.

Bollywood people noticed the directional talent. But movie did average business because lack of attractive star cast. In 2008 he came with the sensational movie Rock On. Rock On was a huge hit at Box Office. He introduced famous director Farhan Akhtar as hero with this movie.

Rajat Kapoor

Rajat Kapoor is famous face now in Bollywood. He has started his career as an actor in 1989 with Khayal Gatha. In 1994 he made his debut as director with Tarana. It was a flop, later many of his attempts as director failed.
In 2001 he has acted in Farhan Akhtar’s Dil Chahta Hai, it became a block buster and he was noticed by Bollywood audience and movie makers. Same year he has acted in Mira Nair’s Mosoon Wedding which was also a super hit movie. In Madhur Bhandarkar’s Corporate he has played the character with different shades.

But still he has thirst to become a top director. His previous movies Mithya and Mixed Doubles also failed to achieve success. Anurag Kashyap was the writer for Mixed Doubles.

Now Rajat is coming again to test his luck as director with the movie A Rectangular Love Story.

David Dhawan Ready With Seqeuls

David Dhawan is gearing to start two movies, both have Salman Khan in lead role. Both these movies are sequels to Salman Khan’s Block Busters. First one is Judwaa 2 sequel to Judwaa. Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor will play the lead roles in this film. Preity Zinta and Akshay Kumar are the other lead cast to that film.

On the other hand, David is gearing to start Partner2 which is sequel to Partner. This movie is going onto the sets by the end of this year. Sohail Khan is the producer. Govinda and Salman Khan will continue in there roles. Deepika Padukone will play the female lead.

Wait and see how David Dhawan competes with the young directors with this two movies.

Vikram Teamed Up With Sush

After Dastak, once again Vikram Bhatt and Sushmita Sen are going to team up again. We know that, Vikram Bhatt has announced a 3D Horror called Yama Dwar. Its high budget venture based on Hindu mythology and linked with other planets. Vikram has inspired fully with Avatar movie.

We have seen  that earlier, Vikram Bhatt has shown Horror movie very differently. In Raaz he has utilized camera work and made it very beautifully. Later in 1920 by using the technical values he made it a visual treat.

Now Vikram‘s look is fully on 3D only. Lets wait and see how the Horror movie will be in 3D work.On the other hand Sushmita Sen fans are very curious to watch her beauty in 3D.

Aparna Sen Is Ready With Another Sensation

Aparna Sen who has won National Awards for three times is ready with her next venture called The Japanese Wife. This movie is going to hit the theaters on April 9th. Aparna releasing this movie in Japanese, Hindi, English and Benhali. Rahul Bose and Raima Sen were played the lead roles.

Pre-release only this movie creating the sensations because of the story line. Story is about an Indian guy and a Japan girl who never each other but in deep love with each other. Their letters built the strong bond between them.

Raima Sen is going appear as young widow who has 8 years son. This is the first de-glam role to this beauty. Kunal Basu and Moushimi Chattrjee are the other lead cast.
