Farhan Akhtar has proved him self as producer, writer, director and also as actor. After Rock On!! (2008) he is getting many offers as actor. On the other hand he is continuing producing the movies. But as director he has taken a long gap of four years.

After Shah Rukh Khan‘s Don (2006) he hasn’t directed any other movie. Recently he has decided to direct two movies. First one is sequel to Don. But it takes more time to hit the sets because the lead cast are busy with other movies. Another movie is Haafiz.

In this movie South Indian new super star Ram Charan Teja will play the lead role. Ram Charan Teja is the son of Tollywood mega star Chiranjeevi. Ram Charan has made his debut into Tollywood with the movie Chirutha which did average at the Box Office but he has proved him self.

Recently he has delivered a block buster Magadheera, which has broken all the Box Office records in South India. Farhan Akhtar who has seen the extra ordinary performance of Charan in Magadheera (2009) has opted him for the lead role in Haafiz.

Many directors in Bollywood targets on commercial success instead of showing their real creativity. Among those directors Abbas-Mastan duo and Priyadarshan appears in front line. Abbas-Mustan duo mostly copies the movies from Hollywood super hits.


Their all time block buster hit Baazigar also  copy for a Hollywood movie. And their recent movie Race is remake for Hollywood super hit movie Goodbye Lover. But every time they are opting new screenplay and introducing new concepts to Indian screen.

Most of the movies of Priyadarshan are based on Malayalam super hits, he ads the trendy Bollywood comedy to that stories. Because of the sensible comedy and punch dialogues Bollywood.

Sathish Kaushik also mostly targeting on remakes. His previous movie Karzzzz was also remake for Subhash Ghai‘s block buster hit Karz.

Young directors Farhan Akhtar and Anurag Kashyap, who has proved them self as talented and creative directors, also worked on remakes but they shown their mark on those movies.


When Farhan Akhtar directed Don-The Chase Begins which is remake for classic movie Don.He has taken great care to protect the originality and gave ultra modern look to that movie. Anurag Kashyap has directed Dev D with the story which has already touched Indian celluloid nearly thirty times including all the languages.


But he made it as another creative wonder,  Times Of India gave 5 stars out 5. This first time in Times Of India history.
